Don't believe the lie that people who don't pay income taxes aren't paying taxes. Payroll taxes are just as real as income taxes, and they are regressive, taxing more from the poor than from the rich. Just because your employer pays part of that doesn't mean it isn't your money.
And I don't disagree with your post. However, employers also benefit from low wage illegal aliens, and any that hire illegals are not doing their part in hiring legal workers in this country.
I don't know if the problem is that the government has "free" money coming in, or a response from business to "look the other way." Probably a combination of the two.
