If that's your goal, stay away from Minidisc. It is very difficult to get it from the disk to a CD, you basically have to re-record it in real time to a computer of a CD recorder, using the output line of the Minidisk player and the input line of the computer.
I used a Minidisc with my church for a while, and got rid of it as soon as possible. I just went to a regular CD recorder.
