You know, if you're on the cheap, go buy a 12 ounce bottle of Ultra-Pure lamp oil (about $2 at your local discount store). Odorless and fast, it'll do the job without making a gummy mess out of things. I don't think there's much difference between this stuff and some of the lower-priced valve oils like Roche-Thomas--at least nothing my fingers or nose can tell.
