A couple of days ago someone posted a question asking about available Eb tubas. I thought I'd drop a note to say that (formerly) my Besson Eb 980 is available at The Brasswind. Because of some interesting circumstances this horn is now living at the Brasswind and is being offered for sale at a very good price. It's a very fine horn that was brought in for the last ITEC and as far as I know, it's the only one in the country. I purchased it from Matt at Dillon Music.
I also played a couple of Yamaha 321s Eb tubas while I was down there dropping off the horn. They really can't be beat for the price! Wes Jacobs (Detroit Sym.) uses (used?) one of these as his high horn with great results.
