It's a DePrins, imported by Walter Sear back in the mid-sixties, made in Belgium. I bought one new from him in 1964 for $450 and it served me well. For a small-bore instrument it can give you a surprisingly big sound, the intonation is about as good as you can find, and it is a very sturdy instrument. The nickel plating can be polished pretty well with brillo. The disadvantages are:
(1) a very awkward placement and angle of the mouthpipe, and
(2) rather high pitch.
I solved both problems by using a sousaphone bit.
