Remember, Chuck (both of you, heh, heh), the original question was about a standard mouthpiece to start a whole class of beginners on. That was why I made the comments I did about the 24AW. When I play a Helleberg now, excessive pressure hurts after a short time, and I wish now that I'd been subjected to that pain then.

Those who have the right sort of early training probably don't need to worry about it much, and just make whatever their trainer suggests sound good. My argument was that the mouthpiece that felt the best to an untrained beginner might not be the best for them.
