I've had a bit of experiance with the current, 'new' YEP321. I even played a brand new one today and thought "just as good as always"
When I got to band rehearsal this evening, they had located a 321 for me to use (thank god, I think the 211 was going to drive me nuts!)
Well, I wasn't suprised that it was an older one, but I was suprised by the horn itself.

It seems much heavier than the new one. Brass seems thicker, and fells more sturdy (quite a tank for a euph). When I played it, I noticed a difference in the way it played. It just seems to have more character to it. Easier responce, more velvety tone. I really love this little horn, much more than the new ones. It wasn't a Besson, but this one can hold its own. Has anyone else noticed this? Or is this just one of those really good ones?
