Almost 40 years ago, a couple of friends and I walked into our HS bandroom one late afternoon and caught the director and the student choir accompanist in flagrante delicto. We were unseen, and one of our group had his 35mm camera with him by chance. He got a whole roll of TriX Pan (ASA 400) before we left.
It was an ugly situation: the band director had seduced the girl (who was a friend of all of ours) with promises of a music scholarship (she was a fairly talented pianist) if she was cooperative. We all knew his wife, and liked her. We were pretty angry.
We confronted the director with a set of prints, and told him (1) no more messing with our friend (2) come through with a 'scholarship' even if he had to pay out of his own pocket and (3) we now run the band and the choir the way we want to. An added factor in the equation was that the father of the other kid with us was the president of the board of education that year.
