"The Merry Peasant" is the same tune as "The Happy Farmer." The original is a piano piece that is included in Album for the Young, by Robert Schumann-- a collection of teaching pieces composed for his daughter. Bill Bell's arrangement for tuba and piano is entitled "The Happy Farmer Goes to Town," and is published by Carl Fischer (and appears on the famous Bill Bell and His Tuba LP). The version I am referring to in a previous post (solo tuba with small orchestra accompaniment) is the same melody and simply titled "The Happy Farmer." The orchestra accompaniment parts were probably not published. I am wondering if anyone out there has a set of "copies" of these parts.
