I was always taught that in america, vibrato only occurs on the last two thirds or so of the note. I use diaphragm vibrato on the euph and tuba. I know a lot of trombone players that say that jaw should be used on the trombone. I like diaphragm better though on euph. I've also found that vibrato sounds best at between five and six vibrations a second. I've heard really good euph players (one in particular) that use way too much vibrato, like on the entire note and at 8+ vibrations a second and it totally ruins their sound and playing for me.
