IN MY OPINION, the 2900 is the better model. I own one, and I absolutely love it. I know that the 2950 has some intonation problems, moreso than the 2900. The 2900 has a more soloistic sound, versus the 2950 that sounds more tuba-like. In my opinion, the 2950 is just too big. It's just a better all-round horn. If you get a Willson, be sure and get a Brian Bowman 1 mouthpiece, it's the best, it's MADE FOR THE HORN! How much better can you get?
