If I am reading this and other parts of this thread correctly, it appears that many are saying that to cut one of these large Holton and other similar large BBb tubas to CC increases or causes intonation problems because the body design was optimized for BBb and doesn't make a good CC. Especially with the number of good large CC tubas available today that were designed to overcome these tendencies, there should be no good reason to cut an old BBb BAT to CC.
