Oscar Lagasse had a 6 valve c French tuba, much like the one on the cover of the Bevan book, (The first one). He used it on Petrushka, that's about it. I bought it when he retired from the Detroit Symphony in 1971, later sold it to Walter Sear when I was living in New York. I hate to tell you what I paid for it back then. ;>) Wish I still owned it.
