I have seen front action F compensating Besson tubas in Hamilton, ON and at a tuba-euph meeting of Gary Bird in the recent past. The front action F tubas were terrible and perhaps they gave up making them.
However, if anyone wants a double F tuba, he or she can get Dietrich Kleine-Horst of the Herbert Gronitz Co. to make it.
I'll bet Alexander and Hirshbrunner also make them.
