The "big name pros" don't have to read the tunes that are in that book because they know them all.
Consider yourself flamed. Unfortunately, there's no question that the illegal book is the one to have if you want to play with other people. However, you really need to hip yourself to the recordings if you want to find out how the "big name pros" play these tunes.
