There is only one legal distributor of the St. Pete line in the U.S. Here are a few more questions you might ponder...

1) What is the reputation of this dealer? (I cannot give my opinion in this forum, due to his threat of litigation towards me).

2) What is the availabilty of parts and/or warranty service on this brand?

As the other posters mention, there are several good alternatives to the St. Pete. A few highly reputable dealers include Dave Fedderly at Baltimore Brass and Matt Walters at Dillon Music.

Before I would spend $3000 ona St. Pete, I would spend $2000-2500 on a used Mirafone or Cerveny. Good luck in your search.

Daryl
