Whatever you do, don't ask the people at the Rogue Valley Mall in Medford, OR. They declined to host last year's TubaChristmas, complaining that the sound rattled delicate objects on store shelves.
Consider holding your TC outdoors (I know that you live in Seattle, Mark!) or as an adjunct to a larger event, such as a parade. The Eugene-area Tuba Carol Concert will be held in Springfield this year after some 23-or-so years in Eugene. Alas, the mall in downtown Eugene (otherwise known as Tuba Square) is no more and another good outdoor venue downtown is getting hard to find.
