Hey Martin. The Humes and Berg practice mute is ok. Intonation sucks, but as far as what you need it for, go for it. The silent brass system is also really good, and not near as expensive as they used to be. They're made by Yamaha. I have a NP Griffin mute that I use for just about every mute use and it quietens the sound quite a bit and is not stuffy to blow through. Try one of those. Hope this helps.
