I've got a Neptune rotary and I like mine. Good ergonomics and very controllable sound production. Some posters have indicated problems with playing softly on large horns, but I have not found that to be a problem with mine. Please don't get me wrong, I am not advocating a Neptune as a 4tet instrument (although it may work with a strong group), but I wouldn't hesitate to use it with a smallish ensemble. It's very nice for large groups.
It sounds like it would be fun to try out one of the new ones.
