I sing bass at church, but have been comfortable with tenor. My low range stops abruptly at about E just below the Bass Clef staff.
I pass on a famous Fritz Kaenzig saying to the beginning cornet players in my junior band: "If you can sing it, you can play it".
I have found that addage to be true, regardless of octave.
Keep singing, and keep playing. The combination will do great things for both.
