I'm not convinced that a mouthpiece can make as fundamental change as you appear to desire. I played a MW 20 in high school and had the same opinion, so I went back to the school's old, beat up, Besson 3 valve compensator and got a much warmer sound. If you want to talk to someone about mouthpieces I suggest giving Doug Elliott a call. He has a knack for identifying the mouthpiece characteristics to get as close to what you are looking for as a mouthpiece can get you.
