I think you are on the right track to research the pieces played by both groups. I am in basically the same situation. IN my case, I am choosing the band route because I have sung in many good choirs, and the decision seemed quite natural to me. But in your case, perhaps it is more difficult. Chuck was right about more scholarship money available in band TO A POINT, but are the level you will be preforming at and with the demonstrated involvement and an audition, having "all-State choir" on you resume Could by a very egg-scilent thing.
