For example, my trusty BAT was great *except* when in the high register (above the bass cleff) it was very difficult to pick off notes accurately. When reaching up there, I was more likely to hit a note plus/minus 1 harmonic. Leaky valves were to blame, as I'm now playing a newer, tighter (borrowed!) BAT & I can pick out notes MUCH more accurately.
