Rental season is pretty much over. At our store, we're only renting out about five instruments or so a day (Why is this pertanent?)...

I have a good Olds O-99, and last summer in the midst of rental season I sent the valve section off and had Dave Secrest totally rebuild it to better-than-new tolerances. I'm now about ready to drag out "projects", repair them, and sell them.

I was planning on leaving the valve section scratchy, and refinishing and de-denting all of the big body parts. The price would depend on just how nice someone wanted it to be.

I would agree with Lew, and was going to suggest it (even though I would have been "blowing my own horn") if Lew hadn't. I would equate the U.S.-made Olds O-99 to the Taiwan-Jupiter 4/4, except this Olds, of course, is a 3-valve front-action, instead of a 4-valve...Maybe a "7/8" size, and a bit more "substantial" than a Jupiter (no offense, Jupiter dealers).
