I own a CEB-641 and I really like it. It has limited uses but for what it does, it is a really great bargain. This is a very small Eb tuba, with that typical Germanic F tuba sound. The only downside is that the range beneath Eb below the staff takes the typical finesse required of the typical Germanic F tuba (in this case, low C is the problematic note). I had a 5th valve added to mine and if you can get around the low Db, C, B area of the horn, it is flat amazing otherwise. I play trios with some guys here in town and I play really high tuba parts on it for hours and never get tired. That horn really sings in and above the staff. Also, I asked Doug Elliot to make me up a mouthpiece for it and what he sent works REALLY nice. Thanks Doug!

My opinion for what it's worth...
