actually, it sounds like the small stem that actually bumps the rotor was the thing that broke off. It sounds like an easy fix to me. unsolder out the rest of the post that did not break off, and solder in a small length of brass, stainless, or nickel silver rod. At least that was my first thought. Any other ideas?
