this is also my favorite recording. i have several recordings by montreal and all are very good recordings.the brass really never overpowers the string section and plays very balanced and intune as a section. it's a great orchestra to listen to if you enjoy hearing brass players who know that it's not very musical to play obnoxiously loud all the time. another great recording of this orchestra is the respighi triology of pines, fountains, and festival of rome. the trumpet players are really solid and the strings are very good as well.
