yes, very true. if I were playing in a "true" wind ensemble, this horn would work great. our director is always talking about how it is not a true wind ensemble, and we are approaching symphony band which is, unfortunately true. but due to department situations, and the lack of multiple wind ensembles (not true wind ensembles, but ensembles of wind... ya know.. hehe), this band lacks the true finesse and balance of a wind ensemble. last year, in the same ensemble, it was fine. but in some situations in this band, the 2145 doesn't seem to cut it, without me getting ugly on the horn. oh well. good stuff.
