If you loved the 2145 then it probably is a good tuba for you. I enjoy my 2145 and I use it for most of my orchestra playing, (pro orchestra). The 2145 has a very nice dark sound that projects very well. The low end is very open and it can peel paint if you get with it. I don't have any problem putting out enough volume for the groups I play in. It is very deceiving for it's size.
