I've never played Beer Barrel/Skoda Laska (Czech title) in C, but that would nice for a change. Bb to Eb is normal in most polka bands. Find a good recording of it and learn the dog fight or "bottom part". Play it by ear. Improvise. Show them what your made of. Hot dog it. Listen to Ray Dorschner and the Rainbow Valley Dutchmen of Wisconsin. Jim Dorschner is an accomplished tubist. Check out his version of The Faithful Bassist while your at it. Also try to find The Travelers from Columbus, TX. You'll find some nice changes in those versions. Some ii/V, circle of fifths things going on. And a Dragnet ending.
