I recommend that you use what ever works best for the horn( both the tuba and the euph), provided it also a rim that you are comfortable. I use a medium size piece for both horns, with rims that are flexible and comfortable. Keep your emboucher centered in the same place for both instruments. (i.e. don't play off to one side on your top action euph and the other side on a front action tuba)

Then practice going between the two instruments in the practice session. I think if you try to converge the two mouthpieces so they are similar, both sounds will suffer. Chester Schmits(sp?) uses a euphonium mouthpiece with a rim Identical rim to his tuba. It looks like a very vey shallow tuba mouthpiece with a euphonium shank. Kind of like a martini glass. It works for him just fine.
