That being said, I am not too good at playing above high Eb (YET!), but I can still hit notes like G and Ab (Or if you talk about Bydlo, G#) more securly on a my CC tuba than I can on a Bb euphonium. You may say this makes no sence. Right? Well, I do have an excuse, I'm not a euphonium player, I am a tuba player. 'Nuf said.
On the flip side, I doo feel like I need to be comfortable in the "cash" register of a euph to be a serious tubist. How many serious (I do mean serious ) Trumpet players can't handle a piccolo trumpet, and flutist with there piccolos beside them when needed. Given, there are people who do focus on one, but the need to be able to do both.
I would love to take a hack at this if I get the opprotunity. But I probably would use a euph for it if I do (and work the chops up).
