This is a common problem with the older E-flats with the smaller shank. The best avenue to pursue is the Besson concept--order one of the smaller shank mouthpieces that come with the 777, or any of the older "student line" E-flats. One other option is to have a mouthpiece custom-made, as I did in Germany for a small-shank BBb. It used a standard 24AW cup with a smaller shank with compatible backbore. Finally, one could have a larger receiver adapted to the leadpipe, but since you have several instruments this is obviously not a practical investment.
