Hey Pete, how are you? Look for an older recording on an Angel re-issue with the London Symphony(not sure who the conductor is as I lent the cd out to a student). The tuba playing is phenomnal(I assume Fletcher) and the rest of the band is top-notch. I gotta share this with you while we are on the cd stuff. I was in, of all places, Watkins Glen, NY this summer after a day of sampling all the Finger Lakes wines. I happened into a junk shop that had a ton of cd's. An hour later I walked out with the complete Beethoven Quartets with Guaneri, Bruckner's 9 with VPO/Bernstein, 4 Vaughn-Williams Symphonies(Slaktin/RPO) and Bruckner's 8 with Karajan/VPO(his last recording, it's a doozy). I paid $35.00 for the lot. Probably would have had a lot more, but I had a case of Wine in the car. be good. How is Nippon?
