A word of caution: if your horn is drastically different that Pat Sheridan's, you may not wish to emulate his sound to the fullest. A friend of mine tried to emulate Gene Pokorney's sound on a Mirafone 186 CC and he told me it totally screwed up his embouchure. I myself have tried this on the same make horn (mine), but rather than totally emulating the sound, I take the sound concept and transfer it over to the 186 so that I'm doing my best to get a similar sounding sound out of a different instrument rather than try to emulate that York sound on my smaller horn.
