The real beauty (in the form-follows-function sense) is just peeking in at the left of the photo. It's a Frankenstein special--Keefer outer branches fitted with Conn valves and various other pieces and parts. It's old, it's dented, it's funky. It breaks all known rules. The valve branches are brass and the outer branches silver plate (mostly).

But the Tuba Gods were smiling on Larry Minnick when he put it together. Chuck would say it's magic. And he found it in a pawn shop. After playing it for a few minutes, I've put myself on the call-me-first-if-you-sell-it list. The Pizzaroni (heh, heh) may be built for show, but the Keefer/Minnick is built for comfort.
