Well, actually, I have played this note in a performance. It was in a wind ensemble that was playing a transcription of an organ piece and the final chord was an F major chord. I dropped to the double pedal F on my CC tuba and everybody was really shocked. Really, it was quite effective. Of course the trick is to play it in tune...
