Our tuba/euph quartet is gaining quite a library (35-40 charts). I am interested in knowing what types of folder systems do groups use. One of our members uses clear plasitic sleeves in a three-ring binder. This is a good system, except: 1) 2-page arrangements have to be cut in half to be used in the folder, and 2) with additional arrangements coming in the future, the binder will need to be rather thick and heavy. The rest of us use a brown file folder with a elastic band around it; then the arrangements are pulled as needed. This is inexpensive, but rather awkward to use. I am looking for the music to be easily accessible and protected while being transported. Does anyone out there in quartet-land have any alternatives or suggestions?
