Nobody else can answer whether this horn will work for you. That really depends on your playing style. If you are asking if this horn would work as your only horn to use in different size ensembles I would say the general answer is yes. Of course there are many other alternatives, especially in this price range, which would work equally well. The beast way to choose is to go somewhere where they have a large selection (I know that is sometimes easier said than done) and play as many horns as you can.
