Like a few of these posts have said, the Arnold Jacobs recording is NOT good at all. Like Brain said, Mr. Jacobs himself wasn't happy. Also, IMHO, the 2nd movement it too fast. Most good performances I've heard, are taken at about 50-54 bpm.
The fletch recording on RCA is wonderful. Great english tubist playing english music. Also, Michael Lind does a nice VW.
