On my new B&S PT-22S E-flat tuba, I use a Perantucci PT-67. It is a "deep cup" mouthpiece, especially intended for F and E-flat tubas. I find that it gives me a lot of flexibility in terms of fast moves throughout the range and yet allows a deep, rich sound which can mimic the larger sound of a CC or BB-flat horn. I also tried (but did not buy) a PT-65 which has a shallower cup. This mouthpiece, made the horn sound a little more "euphonium-like" (great for playing the euphonium solo in the Holst 2nd Suite) and lacked some of the richness and flexibility (in the mid and low range) of the deeper cup. So, for crisper high range playing with a thinner sound, try the PT-65, for a richer mid-and-low range, try the PT-67. These are available from Custom Music in Detroit. I'm pretty sure that they have a trial period where you could try both mouthpieces.
