NOT A QUICK FIX:

Play a bunch of baroque bassoon and 'cello music in the range in which it is written until the corners of your mouth burn really hot. Give it a rest and go at it again 30 minutes later. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. Do it again the next day and the next and the next. (No jamming the mouthpiece into your face - but you know that, right?)

Work to play this music with as much resonance, beauty, and musicality as possible with full support and embouchure vibration on the high notes (no "squealing").

My opinion: I can play those notes, but they don't make me a lot of money. On the other hand, if you want to build up the strength to play high notes, you must play high notes.

QUICK FIX:

Purchase a recording of Louis Prima's "The Lip" and listen to the special instructions at the end of the song.
