Buying a mouthpiece should be fairly easy - any local music shop should be able to order you one, even if they don't stock them on the shelves, and could give you a bit of advice about choosing one (or you could always buy one off the net - have a look at the list of music shops and organisations off the main page of this site). As far as looking after the instrument goes, my advice is to take it to a repairman (can't recommend anyone as I live in Scotland, and I'm guessing you don't) and get him to give it a general look over/service and ask him, but as a starting point - you'll need oil for the velves and grease for the slides (you can get the oil from a music shop and vasaline will do for the grease, although it is not perfect), and don't use cleaning substances that are too abrasive (especially on a lacquered instrument).

Happy blowing.
