Our school, Tennessee Tech University, has 10 of these horns. My impression of them is that they project very well and easily without any effort at all, and they are (At least for a sousaphone), not hard to tune. The downside that I have found is that they break easier than other horns I've had, especially the neck brace and the braces holding the valve and slide assembly to the sousaphone wrap-around part. Depending on your size, this may also be a downside, but it weighs a good deal more than most other sousaphones except maybe Conns. All this aside, as far as sousaphones go (If you cannot already tell, I HATE marching band)f, it is a pretty good horn, and the valve action is good.
