My daughter has played the tuba/sousaphone for eleven years. Quite suddenly she developed a shoulder problem that was not due to a traumatic injury. After an MRI and CAT scan it was determined that her ligaments have stretched so that they cannot hold the joint in place. Has anyone ever heard of this problem- is it tuba/sousaphone related. She is a college senior in a marching band and cannot hold the sousaphone. Can you help me out? Thanks.
