The valve trombone is a strange animal. I have 2 Belgian and a German. Bought cheaply for reasons beyond my own playing.
But it is obvious, that better players do get more out of them, than the beginner, for which they are intended.
If I should point towards a better specimen, that I have tried, and actually used for students at a music shool, then it is the King 3B.
The valve section actually is the same as for the 2B, but when the slide is taken into use, the 3B is a more versatile instrument than the 2B.
The Getzen 300 is not too bad either, but there the slide version is less appealing.
Conn had a .547 version wrapped as a front action baritone, but I have not seen it on the used marked.
