I have found the the Yamaha 65 is a slightly smaller rim than the Helleberg and has about the same cup depth. You might try one of these, too, before you spend a lot of money on the PT 36 or PT 48. If I did not play a Conn 2, I would play either a Yamaha 65 or a
Hirsbruner M-2. I have one of each as a back-back-up (also wear a belt and suspenders and carry safety pins in my pocket).
