I had a piece plated not too long ago for about $30.00. I really liked the feel and felt the investment was well worth it......until the plating began to wear on the rim. Depending on what you are playing on, you may be best served to simply replace with a new one. Brasswinds offers replating for about $27.00 (silver) to $43.00 (gold), where a new Bach will run $43.00 brand new!
