The only thing that matters is how well the tuba addapts to the sound in your head. Buy a horn that is efficient and easy for you to play musically on. Don't be to concerned with the matter of time or the amont of maintanance the horn takes to play well. These are things that can be dealt with. Remember that the music in your mind is what comes out of the horn regardless of the make of the horn.
