Owning both a piston and rotary horn, there are a few differences in maintanance and other things. Although you have to oil pistons much more frequently, they are easier to work on and clean, plus the action IS faster, no matter how good your rotors are. Having to move all of the linkage just makes them a bit slower, but that's even something that I've gotten used to on my PT-15. Also rotary valves are more fragile, even the slightest ding to an arm or the bridge can sieze one or all of the valves, although uniball linkage solves alot of those problems.

I have to say that when I bought my PT-15, I picked it not because of the valves (I already had a piston CC), but because that was the horn that worked for me. Actually the Hirsbrunner piston F really worked for me, but I like the traditional B&S sound a little bit more.
